The hotel offers a mix of positives like beautifully decorated rooms with modern bathrooms and some areas that could use updating. The service is impeccable with attention to detail and special touches, though some facilities like the minibar fridge may need maintenance. The location is fantastic, close to the center of Paarl with stunning gardens and an exceptional dining experience. The dining options are top-notch, providing a wide array of choices, while the facilities offer a range of convenient services.
My stay at the Grande Roche was a delightful experience. The rooms were spacious, offering separate lounge and bedroom areas, a big bathroom, and a private terrace with stunning views of the mountains. Although the accommodations seemed to be refurbished old farm worker lodgings, they were modern and comfortable. I spent two nights in a duplex room that, despite needing some updating, provided a cozy stay.
